virtualVE: QRS & QRQ
In ham radio, the abbreviation QRS means send slower; QRQ means send faster.
Both QRS and QRQ send Morse code through the computer's loudspeaker, and both expect you to type what you hear on the computer keyboard. They both evaluate how well you copy, as any good teacher must do.
QRS will teach you the code from scratch. It sends one character at a time and waits for you to type the correct character, if you can. (If you can't, just press Enter and the character will be displayed.) Rate yourself on your speed in finishing a row of 30 characters.
QRQ will teach you how to copy the code fast and accurately. It sends characters in a steady stream without waiting for you. Choose a speed at which you can copy all characters exactly correctly ("solid copy"). If you do, QRQ will gradually raise the speed on you. Rate yourself by the speed you get up to.
The copies of QRS and QRQ packaged with the virtualVE program are bundled with virtualVE and are licensed to the registered licensees of virtualVE by special arrangement with and by courtesy of the author.
